Technical Business Analyst – Contract – Public Sector (SC eligible)

Day rate: £500 - £575 Outside IR35

Location: UK-wide (client site visits 2-4 times per month)

Must be eligible for SC clearance (active SC not required, but you must meet eligibility criteria, typically 5+ years' UK residency)

We're looking for a Technical Business Analyst to join a well-established technology consultancy, working on a major UK central government digital programme.

About the role:

You'll be working closely with Software and Data Engineering teams, translating complex technical and business requirements into clear, actionable specifications. This is a hands-on BA role suited to someone comfortable operating at the intersection of engineering delivery and stakeholder needs.

What we're looking for:

• Strong Technical Business Analyst experience, ideally with public sector background (private sector experience alongside this is a bonus)
• Proven track record working directly with Software and Data Engineering teams
• Comfortable with standard BA deliverables — requirements gathering, process mapping, stakeholder engagement, documentation
• Flexible to travel to client site 2-4 times a month (role can be based anywhere in the UK)
• Must be eligible for SC clearance (active SC not required, but you must meet eligibility criteria — typically 5+ years' UK residency)
