🚀 Infrastructure Engineering Team Leader | Hybrid (3 days office / 2 days WFH)

We're hiring on behalf of a leading global financial markets firm looking for a hands-on Infrastructure Engineering Team Leader.

You'll stay technically active across Windows, Linux, cloud, virtualisation, storage, networking, and collaboration platforms - while also leading, mentoring, and coordinating a mixed team of engineers.

What you'll be doing:

🔧 Acting as a hands-on engineering lead - troubleshooting, implementation, and project delivery 🧑 💻 Working directly alongside engineers, removing blockers and reviewing technical approaches 📋 Triaging and prioritising incoming work, balancing team workload against business priorities 🤝 Mentoring and developing team members through coaching and technical oversight

📊 Owning contract/licence renewals, vendor relationships, and cost optimisation

⚙️ Championing automation, standardisation, and a DevOps mindset across the team

🔄 Managing lifecycle for OS, platforms, and infrastructure-managed applications

What you'll bring:

✅ 7+ years hands-on infrastructure engineering experience

✅ 2+ years leading, mentoring, or coordinating technical engineers

✅ Strong exposure to Active Directory, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, AWS, Citrix, SAN, VMware, Linux, Windows Server

✅ Familiarity with automation/IaC tooling (PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible, Git, SCCM)

✅ Excellent stakeholder communication
