Location:            Hybrid or fully remote

We are currently recruiting exclusively for an International Event Company that runs sponsor-backed forums, roundtables and networking events for Senior decision makers across Europe. This is a broad, senior operational and commercial role covering the full lifecycle of client and sponsor relationships, event delivery and content, and business development — alongside financial oversight, process improvement, and team and project management.

The successful candidate combines strong relationship-building and negotiation skills with hands-on delivery capability, financial and commercial acumen, and the confidence to represent the business professionally at senior/C-suite level, both in the room and on stage.

Responsibilities:

·     Own and develop a portfolio of client/sponsor relationships, acting as the primary point of contact throughout the partnership lifecycle

·     Understand client objectives and ensure event sponsorship consistently delivers against them

·     Build long-term, trusted relationships that support renewal and repeat business

·     Create and continuously enhance the client journey, from first engagement through to post-event follow-up

·     Identify and pursue new business development opportunities, alongside upselling additional sponsorship packages, event slots or services within existing accounts

·     Lead commercial negotiations with sponsors, partners and suppliers, agreeing terms, deliverables and pricing

·     Draft, review and finalise sponsorship/partnership agreements in line with company policy

·     Set and manage budgets for events and accounts, monitoring performance against financial targets

·     Set and establish KPIs, and track and report against these

·     Manage the sales and delivery pipeline

·     Create and manage content across events and channels, ensuring it aligns with event themes and sponsor/client objectives

·     Plan and oversee the end-to-end delivery of events, ensuring agendas, logistics and sponsor deliverables run smoothly

·     Manage event logistics and planning, including negotiating with suppliers (venues, AV, catering and other event suppliers)

·     Manage travel arrangements for events, for self, speakers and colleagues as required

·     Manage onsite execution, including supporting moderators, speakers and attendees, and troubleshooting issues in real time

·     Manage moderators and speakers, from briefing and preparation through to onsite support

·     Manage and oversee projects, events and team resource, ensuring effective allocation and delivery

·     Travel regularly across Europe (and occasionally further afield) to attend and deliver events, with some multi-day and back-to-back trips

Requirements:

·     Proven experience in client/account management, ideally within events, media, publishing or B2B services

·     Demonstrable experience negotiating commercial contracts, including with suppliers

·     Experience managing events onsite, including working under pressure to resolve live issues

·     Experience hosting or presenting in front of an audience, including at executive level

·     Experience with financial management, including budgeting, KPI-setting, invoicing and pipeline management

·     Willingness and ability to travel internationally on a regular basis

·     Strong commercial acumen with a track record of identifying upsell and new business opportunities

·     Excellent stakeholder management skills, comfortable engaging senior/C-suite contacts

·     Experience managing or overseeing team resource and projects

·     Highly organised, with strong attention to detail across multiple concurrent accounts/events
