Position: Operations Coordinator
Location: Bristol (BS10)
Salary: £32,000 per annum + performance-related pay
Hours: Monday – Friday | 8:00am – 5:00pm
A fast-growing, nationally scaling business within the mobility and assistive equipment sector is seeking an Operations Coordinator to play a pivotal role in driving engineering efficiency, supplier performance, and operational control.
This is a key position sitting at the heart of operations, engineering, supply chain, and finance — ideal for someone who thrives in a detail-driven, high-impact environment.
As Operations Coordinator, you’ll ensure issues are resolved right first time, unnecessary costs are eliminated, and operational data flows accurately across systems. You’ll act as a central point of expertise, supporting teams with guidance, training, and structure while driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing operational guidance to customer care, operations, and engineering teams on engineer deployment and escalation
- Reducing unnecessary engineer call-outs through effective troubleshooting and decision frameworks
- Supporting the creation and maintenance of SOPs, playbooks, and escalation pathways
- Acting as a key contact for suppliers, challenging warranty claims, defects, and sub-standard parts
- Tracking supplier performance, fault trends, and recurring product issues
- Recovering supplier credits and preventing cost leakage
- Reviewing engineering invoices for accuracy and legitimacy
- Maintaining accurate records for warranties, credits, chargebacks, and costs
- Supporting coordination and performance tracking of field and workshop engineers
- Monitoring KPIs such as first-time fix rate, repeat visits, repair times, and service NPS
- Identifying inefficiencies and working with management to improve turnaround times
You’ll ideally have:
- You’ll be confident, analytical, and comfortable operating across multiple departments, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Experience in an operations, coordination, or control-based role
- Strong commercial awareness and confidence challenging suppliers
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- A calm, logical, solutions-focused approach
- Experience working with CRM, operational, or finance systems
